Hey There
Welcome to Technicolor Ministries!

We get a lot of the same questions pretty frequently and wanted to collect their answers all in one place. Have a question that isn't answered on this page? Feel free to contact us directly via the chat or contact page.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Who are y'all?
A: We are an LGBTQIA+ centered Christian community, based on the ELCA Lutheran tradition, that serves the entire Southwestern Texas Synod and beyond. We foster communities of LGBTQIA2S+ folks and allies, educate churches and pastors on LGBTQIA2S+ matters, advocate for pro-LGBTQIA2S+ legislation, and work to create a space of inclusion, love, and safe exploration of faith. We are a church with no walls and find ourselves somewhere different every week with an anchor space online.

Q: Where are you located?
A: A little bit of everywhere and nowhere. Technicolor Ministries serves all the congregations of the Southwestern Texas Synod of the ELCA simultaneously, as well as any interested communities and individuals who aren't affiliated with congregations. Pastor Keats pops up in different places all the time. We'd love to make it easier for people to follow Pastor Keats from place to place, but that has unfortunately become an issue of personal safety. Dying to catch up with us? Just get a hold of us and we'll let you know where you can find us next. That said, Technicolor has no single physical location.

Q: Are your services available online?
A: At the moment, our services are streamed by each of the congregations that we visit. The links to those services can be found on our Facebook. We try to always link to the congregation's live stream each Sunday! We are in the process of gathering the equipment needed to live stream on our own so that you can find all of the Technicolor Ministries services at a single digital location and streamed at a common time. Stay tuned!

Q: How can I connect?
A: Technicolor Ministries operates a digital community on our Discord server. Anyone interested in joining is welcome as long as they agree to the community ground rules. You can find those ground rules and more information by clicking the "Community" tab above. We take our community and its safety seriously and we ask that you agree to some basic ground rules for community and communication before joining. These are "The Ground Rules."

Q: What about these trips and retreats?
A: As Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Austin was closing, they offered Technicolor Ministries a very generous donation with the caveat that this donation would be used to offer us a way to engage in LGBTQIA2S+ centered camping ministry. We have A LOT of great ideas about how that will manifest. In the meantime, we're going to start with trips to local state and national parks where we can spend time in the great outdoors together, maybe do a little prayer and worship, and learn to love ourselves and each other for just how wonderfully unique we all are! Find out more on our socials or sign up for an event here.

Q: How can I support Technicolor Ministries?
A: So many ways! For individuals, we love to have support through general participation in our work; ie. being active on Discord, appearing at local services when they're close by, etc. From congregations, we love to be invited in! Ask for Pastor Keats to come to preach and teach or just meet your community and have a conversation. Financial support is also always welcome and we especially love the security that comes with regular giving. You can make contributions via the "Give" tab above.

Q: Where can I get one of those T-shirts?
A: Check out the "Shop" tab at the top of the page! You can find shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, mugs, and more that all show your support of or participation in Technicolor Ministries and the way that you live your Faith in Full Color.
